Images on Articles and The SEO Effects

When ever I am posting an article on my blog, I used to include a beautiful and meaningful image along with it. Definitely, the images thus included results better effect on the visitors of the article. This tendency was followed by me for a long time and recently I came to know that including lot of images on an article or post may harm the search engine optimization values in a great way.

While crawling the site the search engine bots are not bothered to count the images. Bots don't have the ability to analyze the images. Bots are counting only the text parts or the characters of the content.

At the same time, images included in the article bears lot of characters in the form of HTML (Hyper Text Mark up Language) set up. This characters are not the part of the actual article.They explain the details of the images to the computer. According to the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) rules, the HTML characters are not supposed to exceed the actual characters of the original article. So it is essential to take care not to exceed the number HTML characters compared to the original article characters. To ensure this; the best way is to make the article long enough or do not include any images with the articles. Avoiding the images will ruin the visible beauty of the article. So, the recommended solution would be a long article to combat with the length of the HTML data of the images.

As it is the case, I have decided to avoid images in my articles, till I am balancing the HTML characters as well as the article characters, unless otherwise the images are so important.

To check the balance between the HTML characters of the images and the article characters, a search engine optimization (SEO) tool bar is helpful. There are many free SEO Tool Bars available on the internet. Just install one on the browser and click on the 'Diagnose Tab' to check different aspects of the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) of your blog or site. A green tick mark will indicate the perfect position of an aspect and a red cross mark will indicate the erring one. There will be the explanation of the possible rectifications too.

The images are necessary in articles, but should not be on the cost of Search Engine Optimization benefits. The blogs or sites are avenues of online earning methods. Making online earnings from your blog or site, there should be enough page views. Page views are gaining from great Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and so on, as the result of perfect Search Engine Optimization.
