For beginners, who are just starting out, the most feasible one I recommend is Amazon Associates. It is easy to run and promote. Now I will be showing you why you should be focusing only on Amazon.in

Amazon is the world’s biggest e-commerce website. Amazon.com is driving more than 2.5 billion visitors per month. Amazon India or Amazon.in is driving more than 360 million people per month. The important factor is that most of the seasoned affiliate marketers are only targeting Amazon.com in the United States. But there is usually zero competition in Amazon India. So making money from an Indian Amazon Associates account is hundred percent easier than promoting in Amazon.com on the US market. Apart from this, there are many other reasons why you should join the Amazon Affiliates network. Those will be discussed on the way.

Once you promote your Amazon affiliate link the cookie’s period is for 24 hours. So whatever the customer ends up purchasing in the next 24 hours, you will be getting the commission for that.

The second good point is that you will be getting paid the affiliate commissions for the entire cart. For example, let’s say you referring someone to buy a T-shirt. But the person buying pair of jeans,a cap and a T-shirt as well. You will be bagging the full affiliate commission for the whole cart value and not just the product that you suggested through the link. The best answer is, creating a website and makes it grow. There are multi-pointed benefits of starting and developing affiliate websites. Just as I mentioned, the competition in India is very low. So if you watched our lessons and follow them to the heart, then I can guarantee that within a few months, you will be making money. You don’t even have to work on your website when your article ranks on Google search results. It’s free traffic, month on month. Unlike other platforms that appear and vanish, Google is not going anywhere. So you don’t have to worry that Google will go out of fashion in a few months. People will keep on searching and searching on Google for years to come.

There are many other ways too, apart from affiliate links, that you can make money from your affiliate website. You get sponsorship opportunities, brands will start emailing you and you’ll be making money from sponsored links, sponsored reviews. Through such means, I am charging Rupees, Rs10000 to Rs. 20000 for a single sponsored review. And also, in the end, let’s say you decide you don’t like the Amazon affiliate website, and you want to sell it! Then the website sells for 30 times its monthly revenue. So let’s say you’re making Rs.10000 from your website on a monthly basis you can sell it for Rs.300000.

Now I know that many of you will ask me in the comment section the other methods or means of doing affiliate marketing. Like opening a YouTube channel or doing it through Facebook, Instagram or Linked-in, Pinterest, and many other social media sites.

Let’s discuss each option mentioned above one-by-one and share its pros and cons in detail. So let’s start by opening a YouTube channel.

YouTube:

It is that easy to open a YouTube channel in any niche like many other YouTubers are doing and they are also making good affiliate revenue. You can develop a health-related channel and promote health-related items. You can also create a technology-based YouTube channel and promote the affiliates links inserting in the 'Description Area' below the video just like Technical Guruji, Techno Ruhez, Trakin Tech, Techno Vedant, Technical Yogi, Ratheesh R Menon, Jayaraj G Nath, Ebadu Rehman, and many more YouTubers are doing. It is very easy to do so. Make a review video of a product for which you are having affiliate links and insert the link in the description area. I am sorry that I have mentioned only a few names of reputed YouTubers from India those who are having millions of subscribers as well as their videos getting millions of views too. Just think, a small percentage of viewers clicking on their links and purchasing from Amazon, what would have been their income!!!

But the main point to stress is that YouTube is getting competitive. Already for all the popular categories, like fashion, gardening, technology, health, toys and gifts, electronics, garments, cosmetics, sports, fitness, and many more YouTubers are dominating those niches. It was easier a couple of years back when the competition was low, and also because of the Reliance Jio wave. Now already the majority of the profitable niche has a channel dominating. Now, I’m not pointing that you won’t be able to do it. Definitely, you can open a YouTube channel and you will be able to develop it. Grow it. The fact which is noticed that is giving relief to the YouTubers is the spurt in the usage of YouTube among the common people in India. This is what is happened over the last three-four years.   

Instagram:

Now, let’s see about promoting affiliate links through Instagram. One thing that I should mention is that every social media platform comes, stay some time, and vanish into the blues. So Instagram might not be able to survive in a couple of years. Also getting followers in 2020 is extremely difficult compared to a couple of years back. Still, Instagram is bold enough to support the affiliate requirements.

Facebook:

Facebook is the prominent social media site as everybody knows and supported the Amazon Affiliate Marketing for Beginners activities boundlessly. This was continuing for years. But now, every social media platform is going with the pay-to-play model. In the case of Facebook, earlier the organic yield was very high. So let’s say you have 10,000-page likes, if you post a new post, you’ll be able to reach that 10,000 people. But now Facebook wants you to pay money in order to reach the people who even like your page. Now the competition on Instagram is also growing because the people know that there’s money to be made. And also Instagram wants you to pay money to get those followers. So the organic growth is down. the worst part about Instagram is that there is only one place where you can add the affiliate link that is the bio-data section. So the number of links of the affiliate links will be considerably less and hence the normal commission that you can make in a month will be miserably low. That is why I don’t recommend Instagram as the only source of promoting your affiliate links. The same goes for a Facebook page or a group. The organic reach is dead, so you won’t be able to promote your affiliate links in a profitable manner. As a result of that, I don’t recommend either going into Instagram, YouTube, Facebook page, or a group. Further, the smart strategy is to go into a low competition area and dominate it before it gets too competitive. Also, once your affiliate sites start getting traffic, you can move to these verticals either YouTube channel or Instagram account. Trust me I’ve been doing this for almost 6 years, I have tried and tested everything.

The best strategy is to first start a website, scale it, and then move to the various verticals of YouTube and Instagram. This has given me the best results. So that is the process of making money from affiliate marketing through a website.

The second step is to do niche research. I will help you find a low competition and profitable money-making niche. Then in the next lesson, I’ll share with you how to start a pro affiliate website. How many words your article should have? What should be the button color? All these things should be secured.
